Softball Recap: Peoria Notre Dame Comes Up Short

Peoria Notre Dame was the 6-2 winner over Canton when they last played one another back in March of 2019, but their luck changed this time around. The Irish lost 9-1 to the Little Giants on Wednesday. The Irish have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Ella Tady was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. That home run was her first of the season.

Peoria Notre Dame's defeat dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Canton, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Peoria Notre Dame will face off against Manual at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Canton, they will challenge Washington at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Little Giants are on an eight-game streak of home wins, the Panthers a three-game streak of away wins, meaning someone's leaving a streak behind.
