Soccer Game Preview: San Bernardino vs. Pacific

The San Bernardino Cardinals will face off against the Pacific Pirates at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. Pacific took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on San Bernardino, who comes in off a win.

San Bernardino headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for three straight, but Entrepreneur let them put that streak behind them. San Bernardino never let Entrepreneur onto the board and left with a 7-0 win on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Cardinals as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Pacific came up short against Indian Springs on Thursday and fell 3-1. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 755th, while the COYOTES are ranked 360th).

San Bernardino's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 3-9-1. As for Pacific, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-6-2.

San Bernardino came out on top in a nail-biter against Pacific in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, sneaking past 4-3. The rematch might be a little tougher for San Bernardino since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
