Christopher is 6-1 against Santa Teresa since April of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cougars will venture away from home to square off against the Saints at 4:00 p.m. Christopher will be strutting in after a victory while Santa Teresa will be coming in after a loss.
Christopher took a ten-run defeat the last time they faced off against Leigh, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Cougars skirted past the Longhorns 7-5. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Cougars as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Christopher got a great performance from Matthew Anderson as he tossed six innings while giving up four earned runs off four hits. Anderson has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.
On the hitting side, Sam Guenther was excellent, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Another player making a difference was Jacob Huerta, who went 3-for-5 with two runs.
Christopher hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their strikeout total in four consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, Santa Teresa fell victim to Westmont and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They came up short against the Warriors, falling 7-0. Having soared to a lofty 16 runs in the game before, the Saints' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.
Santa Teresa saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Andres Cedillo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.
Christopher's record now sits at 13-10. As for Santa Teresa, their loss was their seventh straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 10-13.
Christopher was able to grind out a solid victory over Santa Teresa when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 6-2. Do the Cougars have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Saints turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
