Softball Recap: Moravia Blue Devils vs. Tioga Tigers
If Moravia was riding high fresh off their 22-3 takedown of Newark Valley last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Blue Devils came up short against the Tioga Tigers on Friday, falling 16-5. The loss continues a trend for the Blue Devils in their meetings with the Tigers: they've now lost four in a row.
Lashley Heredia Castio made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Davida Jackson, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Moravia's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moravia will face off against Marathon at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Tioga, they will head out to challenge Newark Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
