Basketball Recap: Lafayette Comes Up Short

Lafayette lost a heartbreaker to Corinth when they met back in January, and they left with a heavy heart again on Monday. The Lafayette Commodores took a 53-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Corinth Warriors. The loss continues a trend for the Commodores in their matchups with the Warriors: they've now lost three in a row.

Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Corinth, they have been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a massive bump to their 8-17 record this season.

Lafayette does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Corinth, they have already played their next game, a 63-54 victory against Clarksdale on the 6th.
