Basketball Recap: Harvest Christian Academy Falls Despite Big Games from Zane Barnett and Maddox Keeney

Harvest Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a hard 59-42 fall against the Victory Baptist Academy Patriots. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-47 last Tuesday.

Despite the defeat, Harvest Christian Academy had strong showings from Maddox Keeney, who posted 18 points, and Zane Barnett, who had 14 points.

Victory Baptist Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Isaac Johnson, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds. Johnson has been hot for a while, having posted eight or more boards the last 44 times he's played. Another player making a difference was David Lamb, who put up 20 points.

Harvest Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 7-16. As for Victory Baptist Academy, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-8.

Harvest Christian Academy wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 42-37 defeat against Mercy Culture Prep on the 31st. Victory Baptist Academy has also already played their next contest, a 48-35 win against Sacred Heart on the 31st.
