Basketball Game Preview: Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions vs. Palmer Trinity Falcons

The Immaculata-La Salle Royal Lions will head out on the road to face off against the Palmer Trinity Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Immaculata-La Salle made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Carrollton School of the Sacred Heart, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Royal Lions fell just short of the Cyclones by a score of 60-58 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Monday (55), the Royal Lions still had to take the loss.

Even though the team lost, they still had their share of impressive performances. One of the best came from Frida Acevedo, who went 11-for-16 to rack up 24 points. Ana Villarreal was another key player, dropping a double-double with 11 points and 17 rebounds.

Meanwhile, Palmer Trinity beat Northwestern 37-30 on Wednesday. The Falcons haven't had any issues with the Bulls recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Palmer Trinity's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Immaculata-La Salle, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
