Volleyball Recap: Stuart Takes a Loss

Stuart managed to slip by Niobrara/Verdigre the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Broncos came up short against the Cougars on Tuesday, falling 3-0.

Stuart was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-14, 25-23.

Leading Niobrara/Verdigre to victory were Lynae Nielsen and Emma Farnik. Nielsen had 24 digs and two assists, while Farnik had seven digs and two aces. That's the most digs Farnik has posted over her last six matches.

Stuart dropped their record down to 11-16 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, their win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 10-15.

Stuart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Niobrara/Verdigre, they will welcome Boyd County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
