Basketball Recap: St. Albans Takes a Loss

St. Albans and Spring Valley squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but St. Albans had to settle for second. They had to suffer through an 83-49 loss at the hands of the Spring Valley Timberwolves. The Red Dragons have struggled against the Timberwolves recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meetings.

When it comes to explaining why St. Albans lost, don't look at Jaycee Elzy. Despite the final result, she posted 19 points and six boards. The match was Elzy's fourth in a row with at least 18 points. Triniti Austin-Russell was another key player, putting up ten points.

St. Albans' loss dropped their record down to 18-7. As for Spring Valley, the victory (which was their 16th in a row) raised their record to 22-2.
