Willow had already won ten in a row and they went ahead and made it 11 on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Frederick A. Douglass Bobcats. While the Lions didn't have the best season last year (they finished 7-12), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-20.

Myla Brown paced Willow's offense, picking up five kills. Brown got some help from Haviva A and her nine assists. Lily Elkheishn controlled things from the service line, finishing with six aces.

Willow's victory bumped their record up to 11-2. As for Frederick A. Douglass, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-12.

Willow didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Calvary Baptist Academy on the 27th. As for Frederick A. Douglass, they will face off against Haynes Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bobcats' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
