Recap: Prairiland Patriots vs. Rains Wildcats
The Prairiland Patriots suffered their biggest defeat since December 12, 2023 on Wednesday. They took a serious blow against Rains, falling 71-16. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Prairiland has scored all season.
It was another big night for Jasey Campbell, who scored 15 points along with six assists and five steals for Rains. Campbell has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Caroline Piles, who scored ten points along with five steals.
Prairiland has not been sharp recently, as they've lost nine of their last 12 games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-14 record this season. As for Rains, the victory was the 15th in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 26-2.
Prairiland will head out on the road to take on Commerce at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Commerce presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairiland in Texas (Commerce is ranked 281st, while Prairiland is ranked 863rd). As for Rains, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lone Oak at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
