Basketball Recap: Pike County Comes Up Short

Pike County lost against Jackson back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Pike County Pirates took a 57-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jackson Red Devils.

Despite the loss, Pike County still got an impressive performance from Yadi Rosado, who went 5 for 9 to rack up 20 points and seven rebounds. The dominant performance also gave Rosado a new career-high in field goal percentage (56%). Nazarious McDowell was another key player, putting up nine points.

Jackson found their leader in sophomore Jd Pennamon, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Another player making a difference was Zyior Mcdaniel, who posted six points along with six boards and four steals.

Pike County dropped their record down to 3-19 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Jackson, their win bumped their record up to 6-19.

As of now, neither Pike County nor Jackson have any future games scheduled.
