Volleyball Game Preview: Antioch Panthers vs. Liberty Lions

Antioch is 0-10 against Liberty since May of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Panthers will be playing in front of their home fans against the Lions at 6:30 p.m.

Antioch lost 3-0 to Deer Valley on Thursday.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-17, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Liberty had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Pirates.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Liberty was: they took every set by at least 12 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-10, 25-13.

Antioch better keep an eye on Emery Gunderson. She was instrumental in Liberty's win, getting 20 assists and two aces. Jenny Green also deserves some recognition as she served her first ace of the season.

Liberty was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 15 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Pittsburg only served three.

Liberty's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Antioch, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Antioch might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Liberty in their previous matchup back in October of 2024. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
