Basketball Recap: Rank Disadvantage No Problem for Orange Park

After losing to Oakleaf the last time they met, Orange Park decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Orange Park Raiders managed a 63-59 victory over the Oakleaf Knights on Tuesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Raiders' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Knights are ranked 79th).

Orange Park's victory bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Oakleaf, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 16-6 record.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Orange Park will take on Bishop Snyder at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oakleaf, they will face off against Menendez at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Oakleaf knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 14 contests -- so hopefully Menendez likes a good challenge.
