Volleyball Game Preview: Millis Mohawks vs. Dedham Marauders

Millis is on a six-game streak of home losses, and Dedham a four-game streak of away losses. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Friday. The Millis Mohawks will be playing in front of their home fans against the Dedham Marauders at 5:00 p.m. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Millis and Norwood, and Norwood kept the tradition alive. The Mohawks came up short against the Mustangs on Monday, falling 3-0.

The home team had come away the winner the last four times Dedham and Medway had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. The Marauders fell 3-1 to the Mustangs on Monday. While the Marauders didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Mustangs 25-17 in the first set.

Dedham started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-20, 25-13, 25-16.

Dedham's defeat dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Millis, their loss dropped their record down to 0-12.

Everything went Millis' way against Dedham in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, as Millis made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Mohawks have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Marauders turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
