Football Recap: El Camino Starts Season with Defeat on the Road

El Camino kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They had to suffer through a 60-21 loss at the hands of the Balboa Buccaneers. The Colts were not able to make up for their loss to the Buccaneers from their previous meeting back in September of 2021.

Rylen Thien-Jones was the offensive standout of the game as he rushed for 16 yards and two TDs. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in October of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After both having extra time off, El Camino and Homestead will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 18th. As for Balboa, they will host Terra Nova at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
