Holgate entered their tilt with Montpelier on Thursday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Locomotives. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered an 8-5 loss the last time these two teams met.

Zack Boecker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered two runs (both of which were unearned) on four hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Holgate is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 4-5 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on EVAN CRUMRINE, who went 1-for-3 with one home run. That home run was his first of the season.

Holgate's record is now 8-5. As for Montpelier, they moved to 10-4 with that defeat, which also ended their four-game winning streak.
