Recap: Harding Skippers vs. Max S. Hayes Lakers
The Harding Skippers's game last Thursday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They walked away with a 45-32 victory over Max S. Hayes. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Harding also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2023.
Madisen Mcfadden continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, shooting 4-for-7 from beyond the arc and almost dropping a double-double on 27 points and nine rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Harding's points. Madison Hunt was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with three steals.
Several Lakers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Annalysh Caraballo, who scored nine points. The team also got some help courtesy of Haydee Mateo, who scored eight points.
Harding's victory ended a eight-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 6-12. As for Max S. Hayes, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost seven of their last nine games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.
Harding will head out on the road to square off against the Panthers at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Max S. Hayes, they will be playing at home against the Rebels at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. John Adams comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 16 points in their last four games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
