Recap: Lakewood Park Christian Panthers vs. Elkhart Christian Academy Eagles
Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only the Lakewood Park Christian Panthers walked away with it. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 49-23 victory on Tuesday. Lakewood Park Christian has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine matchups by 23 points or more this season.
Ava Mcgrade continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 16 points along with five rebounds and four steals. She is on a roll when it comes to points, as she's now scored 16 or more in the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Grace Merkel, who scored nine points along with two steals.
The win was the third in a row for Lakewood Park Christian, bringing their record for this year to 16-6. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.7 points per game. As for Elkhart Christian Academy, they now have a losing record at 11-12.
Lakewood Park Christian will square off against the Braves at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Fort Wayne Blackhawk Christian is looking to tack on another W to their seven-game streak on the road. Elkhart Christian Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
