Baseball Recap: Stratford's Loss Ends 12-Game Winning Streak at Home

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Stratford can now relate to. They lost 13-7 to the James Island Trojans on Thursday. The pitching woes were uncharacteristic for the Knights, who until this matchup were averaging four runs allowed.

Tripp Smith made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

Stratford's loss ended a 12-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 20-6-2. As for James Island, the win was the 23rd in a row for them, bringing their record up to 28-3.

As of now, neither Stratford nor the Trojans have any future games scheduled.
