Volleyball Recap: Horizon Science Academy-Southwest Snaps Six-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

In Wednesday's Canine Competition, Horizon Science Academy-Southwest didn't have enough. They fell just short of the Catalyst-Maria Wolves by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday. If the Huskies were looking for revenge after losing 2-1 to the Wolves when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

In an exciting match in which no team claimed back-to-back wins, Horizon Science Academy-Southwest sadly wound up on the wrong side. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 23-25, 25-17.

Horizon Science Academy-Southwest's loss ended a six-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 7-2. As for Catalyst-Maria, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Horizon Science Academy-Southwest is set to square off against their familiar foe Chicago Military Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Catalyst-Maria will challenge rival Morgan Park at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
