Butte Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They took a blow against the La Pine Hawks, falling 65-33. One positive for the Bulldogs, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Butte Valley's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for La Pine, with the victory, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-5.

Butte Valley will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Hoopa Valley at 1:30 p.m. on January 3, 2025. La Pine and Lakeview will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
