Basketball Recap: Schulenburg Now 4-1 over Last Five Games

Bloomington came into Tuesday's matchup looking for another win against Schulenburg, but Jashiya Jackson wouldn't allow it. The Schulenburg Shorthorns took their game on Tuesday with ease, bagging a 68-19 victory over the Bloomington Bobcats/Lady Cats thanks in part to Jackson, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 13 boards. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in rebounds.

Miranda Bonner was another key player, going 5 of 11 on her way to 14 points and four steals. She has been hot for a while, having posted two or more steals the last nine times she's played.

Schulenburg has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for Bloomington, their loss was their tenth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-19.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Shiner the next time they take the court. Schulenburg will head out to face Shiner at 6:15 p.m. on Friday, while Bloomington will head out to face them at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
