Volleyball Recap: Tipton Starts off Right with Win over Indiana School for the Deaf

Tipton gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They came out on top against the Indiana School for the Deaf Deaf Hoosiers by a score of 2-0.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Tipton took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-10, 25-9.

Emilie Mumbower paced Tipton's offense, picking up five kills. Mumbower got some help from Bella Henderson and her nine assists. Henderson also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Sophia Lopez, racking up four apiece.

Tipton will take on Indianapolis Cardinal Ritter at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Indiana School for the Deaf, they will face off against Purdue Polytechnic at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
