Softball Game Preview: Ramsey Rams vs. Altamont Indians

The Ramsey Rams will square off against the Altamont Indians at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ramsey comes in still looking for their first win of the season.

Ramsey came up short against Central A & M on Friday, falling 17-1.

Meanwhile, Altamont never let their opponents score on Monday. They blew past Brownstown/St. Elmo 15-0. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Grace Lemke looked comfortable as she struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs or hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season.

Altamont's victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-3. The road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Ramsey, their loss dropped their record down to 0-7.
