The Scotts Valley Falcons will challenge the Homestead Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
Scotts Valley is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 13 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Leigh on Saturday. They came up short against the Longhorns, falling 10-1.

Kaleb Wing was cooking despite his team's loss, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run. He is becoming a predictor of Scotts Valley's success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 4-1 (and 8-14 when he doesn't).
For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Homestead and Los Altos meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Friday. The Mustangs blew past the Eagles 10-3. The high-scoring effort was just what the Mustangs needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Logan Christianson made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.
In other batting news, Ajay Lohitsa was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and four RBI. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. Andrew Sun was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Homestead always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Homestead's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-15. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Scotts Valley, their loss dropped their record down to 12-15.
