Basketball Recap: Cuyahoga Falls Victorious

Cuyahoga Falls won the last time they faced Roosevelt and things went their way on Friday too. The Cuyahoga Falls Black Tigers managed a 46-42 win over the Roosevelt Rough Riders.

Joey Stiffler went supernova for Cuyahoga Falls, going 5 of 7 on his way to 17 points and five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Dom Russo, who posted eight points and six rebounds.

Roosevelt lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Gavin Peeps, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 boards. Another player making a difference was Ryan Slocum, who went 5 of 8 on his way to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Cuyahoga Falls' victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 4-5. As for Roosevelt, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 4-6.

Cuyahoga Falls will host Revere at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Cuyahoga Falls is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.9 points per game this season. As for Roosevelt, they will venture away from home to challenge Barberton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing is sure in Barberton's favor as the squad sits on four straight wins at home while Roosevelt has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road dating back to last season.
