Recap: Bartram Trail Bears vs. Creekside Knights
The Bartram Trail Bears lost to the Creekside Knights back in December of 2022, but the Bartram Trail Bears didn't allow the Creekside Knights the same satisfaction on Friday. Bartram Trail secured a 58-52 W over Creekside. The win was all the more spectacular given Bartram Trail's disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 219th, while Creekside is ranked 43rd).
Bartram Trail got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was David Souza out in front who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. Another player making a difference was Landon Geren, who scored 20 points.
The victory makes it two in a row for Bartram Trail and bumps their season record up to 3-1. As for Creekside, their loss dropped their record down to 5-1.
Bartram Trail will head out on the road to face off against Ridgeview at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Ridgeview is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. As for Creekside, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Harvest Community at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Harvest Community focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Friday.
