Baseball Recap: Steinmetz College Prep Takes a Loss

If Steinmetz College Prep was riding high fresh off their 15-8 takedown of North Grand on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Silver Streaks came up short against the Clemente Wildcats on Saturday, falling 19-4. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wildcats this season, with their most recent defeat being a 15-0 loss back in April.

Steinmetz College Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 7-22. As for Clemente, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-10 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Steinmetz College Prep will take on Northtown at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Pumas have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13.64 runs per game on average), something the Silver Streaks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Clemente, they will face off against Mather at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
