Baseball Game Preview: Mount Michael Benedictine Knights vs. Skutt Catholic SkyHawks

Mount Michael Benedictine is 1-8-1 against Skutt Catholic since April of 2017 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Wednesday. The Knights will look to defend their home field against the SkyHawks at 4:30 p.m. Mount Michael Benedictine has given up an average of 6.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Easton Elam was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over six innings while giving up just two earned (and three unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). The dominant performance also gave him a new career-low in walks (zero).

On the hitting side, Skutt Catholic saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Will Sims, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Skutt Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 13-3. As for Mount Michael Benedictine, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8.
