Galena made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Southwest, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Bears blew past the Trojans 16-2 on Tuesday. That 14 run margin sets a new team best for the Bears this season.

Galena got a massive performance out of Cody Jones, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-4. Jones also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Joell Simpson was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Galena always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They are 2-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

The win got Galena back to even at 3-3. As for Southwest, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-12.

Coming up, Galena will head out to take on Verona at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Southwest, they will look to defend their home field on Wednesday against Blue Eye at 5:00 p.m. The Trojans are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
