 Byhalia was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight  loss. They wound up on the wrong side of a  rough 9-2 walloping at the hands of the Senatobia Warriors. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Byhalia of the  12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  last Tuesday.
  Jason Moreno spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered four earned  (and five unearned) runs on seven hits.
 At the plate, Byhalia saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Jacobi Burnett, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 On Senatobia's side,  Caleb Scruggs and  Javarri Miller were a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Scruggs   struck out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits (and not a single walk). Meanwhile,  Miller   tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits (he also only allowed one  walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  hit in three consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Scruggs  scored a  run while  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances, while  Miller  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
 In other batting news,  Nolan Mcnail was a standout: he scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-3. Another player making a difference was  Ayden Ward, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 2-for-3.
 Byhalia's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Senatobia, the  win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-6.
 Both  teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Byhalia will  face off against Rosa Fort at 5:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. Byhalia is strutting in with some hitting muscle, as they've averaged 9.9  runs per game this season. As for Senatobia, they will head out on the road to  take on  Lake Cormorant at 2:00  p.m.  on Saturday.
