Soccer Recap: The Nueva School Comes Up Short

If The Nueva School was riding high fresh off their 6-0 takedown of Summit Shasta last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Nueva School Mavericks fell just short of the East Palo Alto Academy Bulldogs by a score of 1-0 on Wednesday. The shutout was out of character for the Mavericks seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in December of 2024.

The Nueva School's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1-1 and their overall record down to 8-7-1. As for East Palo Alto Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3.

The Nueva School will be playing in front of their home fans against Design Tech at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. As for East Palo Alto Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against Summit Shasta at 3:15 p.m. on Monday.
