Basketball Recap: Cibola Takes a Loss

Cibola was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were beaten by the Farmington Scorpions 67-28. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Scorpions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-36 back in January.

It was another big night for Kjani Anitielu, who went 10-for-16 on her way to 24 points along with seven steals and six boards for Farmington. Anitielu is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in each of the last seven games she's played. Another player making a difference was Caris Dale, who went 7-for-14 en route to 18 points and four steals.

Cibola's defeat dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Farmington, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 19-6.

Cibola didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 69-37 loss against Volcano Vista on the 20th. As for Farmington, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 53-43 win against Piedra Vista on the 20th.
