Soccer Game Preview: Robbinsville vs. Holmdel

The Robbinsville Ravens will face off against the Holmdel Hornets on Friday. Robbinsville is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last seven games.

Robbinsville is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over Governor Livingston. Given Robbinsville's advantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey soccer rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Governor Livingston are ranked 213th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Holmdel kept a clean sheet against Spotswood on Tuesday. They blew past the Chargers 4-0. The result was nothing new for Holmdel, who have now won five contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Robbinsville's record is now 10-6. As for Holmdel, their record now sits at 9-4-2.

Robbinsville suffered a grim 8-1 defeat to Holmdel in their previous meeting back in November of 2018. That match was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Ravens were down 5-1.
