Basketball Recap: Northland Prep Academy Snags Eighth Win in Last Nine Games

Northland Prep Academy won the last time they faced Kingman Academy and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Northland Prep Academy Spartans walked away with an 83-70 victory over the Kingman Academy Tigers. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Spartans.

Northland Prep Academy's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Joiner, who went 8 of 17 en route to 25 points. Joiner has been hot, having also posted two or more steals the last five times he's played. Another player making a difference was Simon Pickup, who went 8 for 9 on his way to 21 points.

Northland Prep Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Kingman Academy, they moved to 9-7 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Northland Prep Academy is taking a road trip to square off against Round Valley at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. The timing isn't great for Round Valley: they have been struggling with four straight losses at home, while Northland Prep Academy has snatched up five consecutive wins on the road. As for Kingman Academy, a feisty cat fight is on tap when the Kingman Academy Tigers take on the Chino Valley Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
