Volleyball Recap: Head-Royce Find Success

With a playoff win on the line, Head-Royce rose to the challenge on Tuesday. They skirted past the El Cerrito Gauchos 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Jayhawks have posted since April 3, 2024.

Head-Royce was actually outscored in aggregate across those five sets (105-100), but they still managed to win. The match finished with set scores of 16-25, 25-21, 25-18, 16-25, 18-16.

Head-Royce's win bumped their record up to 16-9. As for El Cerrito, their loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 25-9.

Coming up, Head-Royce will square off against Redwood at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Giants will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Jayhawks surely won't give up without a fight. El Cerrito does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
