Baseball Preview: Union County Patriots vs. Carter Green Hornets

The Union County Patriots will head out on the road to challenge the Carter Green Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Carter took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Union County, who comes in off a win.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Union County finally turned things around against Grainger on Wednesday. Everything went Union County's way against Grainger as Union County made off with a 10-3 win. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for Union County considering their two-run performance the game before.

Union County got a great performance from Parker Hodge as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Trot Russell was incredible, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3. Kaden Stinnett was another key contributor, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Carter was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. Their rough 10-2 loss to Northview Academy might stick with them for a while.
