Basketball Recap: Windsor Locks Takes a Loss

Windsor Locks was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 67-59 to the Rockville Rams. While losing is never fun, the Raiders can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked 103rd, while the Rams are ranked 33rd).

When it comes to explaining why Windsor Locks lost, don't look at Sincere Monroe. Despite the final result, he went 8 for 19 en route to 25 points along with six assists and five steals. That's the most steals Monroe has posted since back in February of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Jack Grasso, who posted seven points and five assists.

It was another big night for Darek Albert, who went 8 of 17 on his way to 26 points and three steals for Rockville. Albert continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Matt Bannon, who went 6 for 9 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

Windsor Locks' defeat dropped their record down to 5-8. As for Rockville, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-3.

Windsor Locks didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 59-58 loss against Granby Memorial on the 28th. Rockville has also already played their next matchup, a 50-46 defeat against Stafford on the 28th.
