Baseball Recap: Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy Comes Up Short

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They lost 14-7 to the Line Mountain Eagles. The WolfPack were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Caleb Foytack put in work while hitting and pitching. He struck out seven batters over 3.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and five unearned) runs off five hits. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-4.

In other batting news, Cameron Guss was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3. Jacob Andreyo was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Line Mountain, their win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy will face off against rival Upper Dauphin Area at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Line Mountain is set to take on their familiar foe Juniata at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
