Basketball Recap: Pensacola Christian Academy Takes a Loss

Pensacola Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single point away from ending the streak, but they lost a 67-66 heartbreaker at the hands of the Community Christian Chargers. On the bright side, the 66- point effort marked the Warriors' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the loss, Pensacola Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Austin McIntosh, who went 6-for-12 to rack up 13 points along with seven rebounds and six assists. Avery Johnson also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Shane Pohler had another great game (as he tends to do), shooting 57% from the field en route to 19 points in addition to seven assists and five boards for Community Christian. That's the most assists Pohler has posted since back in December of 2024. Daniel Dasher was another key player, putting up ten points and three steals.

Pensacola Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Community Christian, the win was their first on the road , bumping their record up to 2-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Pensacola Christian Academy will face off against Central at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Warriors will need to watch out since the Jaguars have now posted at least 55 points in their last three matchups. As for Community Christian, they will take on St. John Paul II at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers will be up against the Panthers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 62.75 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
