Basketball Game Preview: Oak Ridge War Eagles vs. Willis Wildkats

Oak Ridge and Willis are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2021, but not for long. The Oak Ridge War Eagles will welcome the Willis Wildkats at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

On Friday, Oak Ridge took a blow against Grand Oaks, falling 61-34. The War Eagles haven't had much luck with the Grizzlies recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.

Meanwhile, Willis came tearing into Friday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.6 points) and they left with even more momentum. They really took it to the Tigers for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-35 win. The Wildkats have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 13 contests by 20 points or more this season.

Willis is also on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-9 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for Oak Ridge, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-14.
