Newton-Conover had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They never let the Ashe County Huskies get on the board and left with a 2-0 victory on Tuesday. Winning may never get old, but Newton-Conover sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Fernando Martinez-Munoz and Josue Macias-Sevilla scored both of Newton-Conover's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 26 goals.

Newton-Conover's win bumped their record up to 24-1-3. As for Ashe County, their loss ended an 11-match streak of away wins and brought them to 25-3.

Looking ahead, Newton-Conover will square off against Southwestern Randolph at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Ashe County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
