Delaware Valley Friends piles up the points against Kimberton Waldorf

Recap: Delaware Valley Friends vs. Kimberton Waldorf Bulls

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Delaware Valley Friends had no problem doing just that on Monday. They breezed by the Bulls at home to the tune of 63-27. With that victory, Delaware Valley Friends brought their scoring average up to 50.6 points per game.

Alec George continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 18 points along with six rebounds and five assists. Brandon Thomas was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds.

When it comes to explaining why Kimberton Waldorf lost, one person who can't be blamed is Martin Rice. Despite the final result, he scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Colton Mailey, who scored six points.

The win was the third in a row for Delaware Valley Friends, bringing their record for this year to 9-4. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.0 points per game. As for Kimberton Waldorf, they are on a 17-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-17.

Delaware Valley Friends will head out on the road to square off against the at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. Pine Forge Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past three matchups -- so hopefully the likes a good challenge. Kimberton Waldorf will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on the Dragons at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
