Softball Recap: Dearborn Takes a Loss

Belleville hit Dearborn with a 12-run second inning on Wednesday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Pioneers came up short against the Tigers, falling 16-1. The Pioneers haven't had much luck with the Tigers recently, as the team has come up short the last eight times they've met.

Dearborn saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Ball, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one run. That triple was Ball's first of the season.

Dearborn's defeat dropped their record down to 5-14-1. As for Belleville, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 4-11.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dearborn will venture away from home to square off against Cabrini at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Belleville, they will head out to challenge Erie-Mason at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
