Hamden had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Wednesday. They put the hurt on the East Haven Yellowjackets with a sharp 3-0 win. This was a revenge game for the Green Dragons: when they faced off against the Yellowjackets back in September, they had to take a 3-2 defeat.
Hamden never let East Haven on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-23, 25-17.
Bella Green paced Hamden's offense, picking up 12 kills. Green got some help from Tamia Walters and her 14 assists. Kerlin Duran controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.
Hamden's victory bumped their record up to 14-5. As for East Haven, they dropped their record down to 8-9 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
Hamden does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for East Haven, they will head out to face off against Morgan at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
