Volleyball Recap: Spencerville Takes a Loss

Spencerville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tree of Life Christian Trojans.

Tree of Life Christian was led to victory by Mimi Cochran and Rosie Gresh. Cochran had 13 assists and five digs, while Gresh had seven digs. That's the most digs Gresh has posted over her last eight contests.

Spencerville's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Tree of Life Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-7 record.

Looking ahead, Spencerville will face off against Perry at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Tree of Life Christian, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 2-1 win against Shekinah Christian on the 20th.
