Football Recap: Abe Krier Key Part of Team Effort in Rams Win

Riverdale won the last time they faced Hall and things went their way on Friday too. The Rams walked away with a 34-25 victory over the Red Devils. The win was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Riverdale's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Abe Krier, who rushed for 100 yards and one touchdown on only eight carries, and also threw for 87 yards and one TD on only eight passes. Another back making a difference was Caen Beckett, who rushed for 64 yards and a pair of scores.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Riverdale was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 238 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in September.

Despite the loss, Hall still got an impressive performance from Aiden Redcliff, who rushed for 122 yards and a pair of TDs on only 12 carries.

Riverdale's win bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Hall, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-5.

Looking ahead, Riverdale will head out on the road to face off against Sherrard at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Hall, they will be playing at home against Rockridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Rockets have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests.
