Baseball Recap: La Pine's Win on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

La Pine had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 14-1 margin over the Harrisburg Eagles. Considering the Hawks have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Elijah Sparrow was a standout: he went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases and two runs. Those two stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Davey Taylor was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

La Pine always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

La Pine's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Harrisburg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-7-1.
