Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sparta). They snuck past the Morris Knolls Golden Eagles with a 71-65 victory on Wednesday. The win was all the more spectacular given the Spartans' disadvantage in MaxPreps' New Jersey basketball rankings (they are ranked 299th, while the Golden Eagles are ranked 145th).

Sparta moved to 4-10 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak. As for Morris Knolls, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.

Sparta has already played their next game (against Randolph), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Morris Knolls will venture away from home to face off against Delbarton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
